The very first phrase that came to mind when I read this was one that I try not to use when there are preschool toys present.
The only thing about this that doesn't horrify me is the fact that he is genuinely familiar with the show, having been in it on Broadway back in the day. It's stunt casting, but at least it's stunt casting with somebody with experience.
Well, I'm not a Jonas Brothers fan, but I read somewhere that Nick Jonas began his music career in Les Misérables. I'm not sure who he was or if it was in Broadway, but I think it was kind of a big deal. What is gonna suck is the million fangirls going to see the play just to see him, and shouting everytime that he comes on stage, but at least the boy can sing.
