"There's lots of yummy things to eat at the Tinkerboo Factory"
I've wanted to take some photographs of the inside of the water ride I work on for ages because its all pretty and colourful. I thought I'd post them here incase anyone was interested to see where I work.
It's just a ride where you go around in a little boat looking at animatronics, and the theme of it is a sweet factory (which is 'owned' by Tommy Tinkerboo, the parks mascot) and is 'run' by the Toffee Heads (which are kinda cute but also kinda creepy looking, especially up close). Sadly my photos don't quite capture the colours very well. It's a dark ride and everything is in florescent colours and almost glows as you go around it (it looks very trippy) but camera flash pretty much ruins that effect. Oh well, you'll get the idea of it. I've put them in order of how you'd see each scene as if you were in a boat.

Also my co worker told me about this website which is of the company who designed the ride, and they have before and after photos from the revamp they had a few years ago. Which I found very interesting to look at as I never saw it before the revamp so it looks weird to me. It's here
I'm getting really pissed off with work. Some days the park closes at 4pm and on these days as we're only working 6 hours, we get one unpaid half an hour break. To cut costs, their trying to force us to take an extra half hour break on these short working days, and if we refuse a break apparently they'll still dock it from our wages. I'm gonna go to the citizen's advice bureau tomorrow, that doesn't sound legal to me :/
I really need a new job :(

I'm pretty sure it's not legal to dock pay for a break that isn't even taken. Also, I'm surprised they close that early on those days! Is that a set thing or them just deciding if business is slow they'll close up?

I think it's a good idea to ask for some advice 'cause, as you said, it doesn't sound very legal. It's a pity to have a job which you don't feel comfortable in. :(

They constantly screw over their staff where I work, its the reason I'm so desperate for a new job. And you can't really complain because otherwise they'll just say they don't need you anymore and sack you as they have so many people wanting to work for them. It sucks.

Ick. No, I don't think they can do that. Especially if you're slotted only the one unpaid break. They can't force you to take another one.
